UPDATE: Vikingsholm and the surrounding grounds will be CLOSED June 6th-9th. Cultural Resource staff will be returning artifacts to Vikingsholm that were evacuated due to the Caldor Fire. The Rubicon Trail and Lower Eagle Falls will be accessible via the beach and signs will be posted to designate closed areas. 

Emerald Bay State Park is located 12 miles north of South Lake Tahoe. Vehicles cannot drive down to the lake, however, there are many vistas and hiking trails.
