This beloved and historic park is located along the western edge of the Deschutes River. The park consists of two distinct shelves. The upper shelf at street level offers green space, the popular “Pirate Ship Park” playground, picnic shelter, horseshoes and pathways. The lower shelf offers a paved pathway along the river, seating for viewing, and access to the Gilchrist pedestrian bridge. The pedestrian bridge connects to the Deschutes River Trail that runs north and south along the east side of the river. River access is not available.
