Found amid rich farmlands, this region was once home to American Indians and early pioneers. In 1799, legendary frontiersman Simon Kenton and other Kentucky families settled in the area, near the confluence of Buck Creek and Mad River. Today, the park’s large reservoir, with access via multiple ramps, offers unlimited horsepower boating, while an accessible pier provides a great fishing spot. Explore miles of multi-use trails through meadows and wetlands, perfect for hikers and horseback riders. A family campground or modern cabins provide overnight options.
