In the old days an actual tavern was on site; the name derives from drinking brandy at the brow of the corner. Honoring Virginia Whiting Newhall, the trail allows walkers to avoid the traffic near the intersection of State and Edgartown-West Tisbury Roads. Enjoy a moment on the grassy hilltop on this short but well loved trail.

Access trail on left, just inside access road to library. Or, find it at the base of the hill, opposite the end of the little trail by the Mill Pond.
