The two parcels comprising this 2.7-acre preserve are connected by a trail and are part of the Cross-Tisbury Trail. Bare Hill itself is thoroughly wooded and sits in shade all summer long; the name is historical and appears in old deeds.
The easterly property was conserved via an agricultural preservation restriction and is a well-known field on the Edgartown Road. The westerly was purchased outright by the land bank in a cooperative acquisition with the town of Tisbury.
Park along Vineyard Haven–Edgartown Road near its intersection with Winyah Lane. Property is on the west side of the road. There are several crossing neighborhood trails in the area; using the TrailsMV app's locator icon will help show you the correct path.
